Why Consider This:
The Dell UltraSharp U2717D is a decent 27 inch IPS-type LCD monitor with great ergonomics and a wide viewing angle. Its picture quality is decent, and it gets bright enough to suit most environments. Unfortunately, though, it isn't the best monitor for gaming due to its relatively high input lag at its native resolution. Furthermore, its uneven blacks with visible backlight bleed leave a lot to be desired.
People Like:
  • Wide viewing angles
  • Bezel-free design.
  • Good port selection.
People Dislike:
  • Uneven, cloudy blacks with visible backlight bleed
  • Higher than average input lag
  • Expensive

How to Find the Right 27-Inch Monitor

If you have room on your desk, a 27 inch monitor is an ideal size. If you use lots of apps at once and have good eyesight, a 27-inch monitor fits a lot more information than smaller screens do. If you have poor eyesight, you can scale up the size of text and images and still have a usable amount of desktop space. These kind of are more affordable than ultrawide monitors, and provide more screen real estate with a dual monitor setup, though they take up a lot of desk-space. 27 inch monitors are also less affordable than 24 inch monitors. If you intend to have a dual monitor setup, 24 inch monitors take up less space, however you loose about 8 inches of usable screen real estate. Most people buying a new monitor for a computer or graphics card made in 2015 or later are able to buy a 4K monitor. Such monitors make text and images look much sharper, they’re less expensive than they used to be, they’re much easier to set up and use than before, and operating systems and applications have (mostly) adapted to scale up to the higher resolution. Fitting a 4K monitor with 27 inch display is overall the best option for your displays. But 1440p and 1080p would be perfectly acceptable for most people, and cheaper than 4K options. If you like large dual monitor setup, this list is for you.
